Interior Carpet Avaliable?

Do any aftermarket suppliers offer interior carpet for the 5th generation Preludes? Can you still get it from Honda?

Floor Carpet

I am curious about the floor carpet. Not the floor mats that go on top of the carpet.

Prelude Carpet

I did a fast search of the Internet and could not find any molded carpet for the 5th generation Preludes but it was avaliable for the older Preludes.

The Prelude that I may purchase had milk spilled on the back seat carpet by the current owner's two year old child. It smells.

The smell is going to be on ever thing setas, carpet everthing that is fabric. One of my friends had a milk stain to. We just took it to a car wash and used a car carpet steam cleaner thing on it to get it out. Then we got some of this carpet freshener and sprinkled it all over the back. Took a brush and ruber it down deer in the carpit. let it set for a day then got a super vac to get it all out Then we sprayed a full bottle of febreze all over the seats, under the seats front and back capets even the trunk. Got it out and never came back.

Your best bet is to check out a local salvage yard for the carpet. My GF's dad owns a salvage yard that has 6 5th Gen. Preludes. If you can't find anything locally, I can get one for you. Not sure how much they charge, but I can also clean it before shipping it

1897,

yea, the rubber part goes under the pedals, the trunk/gas latch cut out is also an issue. He'd have holes on both sides of the carpet if he purchased that one

Well I just quoted this post, but I read alot of you guys/ gals have had a problem with something smelling in the car. I have four kids and they spill everything in the mini van, but this stuff I use takes the smell and the stain out. Check out this website

www.odorkill.com

It is a odor killing enzyme that activates with water. It works, it even took the smell out of my city trash can you know the ones that you wouldn't dare stick your nose down to catch a wiff, holy cow... but that stuff took it right out.

Trick is you spray it on the area where the spill is soak it good enough to get down as far as the milk or whatever was spilled got to and just let it dry, the smell will be gone. Its a 10:1 (10 parts of water to 1 part of odorkill) mix so it will last for a while also once you mix the enzyme with water it only last about 72 hours or so, it looses its power or strength over time. See the odor eating enzyme starts to work once water mixes with it. Check it out.
