ABS flash codes help!

i have a 97 base 5spd and my ABS light is on about 90% of the time but likes to turn on and off at any time, I tested the abs and it flashed 5 long 1 short then 5 long 3 short again and again, then i reset the abs comp. and now it flashes 5 long 1 short then 5 long 1 short over and over again, any ideas?

so my ABS motor is stuck, hmm i think ill reset my ABS light and see if i get the same flash, just to check seeing as how the flash code changed last time i did that. but if it is the motor what all would need to be replaced? just the motor? or a lot more?

i called my honda dealer and they say that flash codes dont mean anything and that they think its the modulator sensor, i think i might need to give this a third look. and after resetting my light it came right back on but this time it only flashes 5 long and 1 short, so 51.

So sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't? Check your Speed Sensor's and check if they're clean or not

i cleaned all my speed sensors but no luck on that being the problem, could the ABS motor be stuck and then not be stuck causing the light to turn on and off?

Re: ABS flash codes help!

Hey, I am having the same problem. Abs light comes on and off randomly and the only code I get is 51. How do you reset the abs unit because I haven't done that unless it's as simple as removing the clock radio fuse under the hood cus I already tried that.
