98 Honda Prelude Air condition problems

hey I'm a new owner of a 98 prelude...just got it today fo $6600...When I was driving the car...I had a hard time shifting the lever to the cold position. I t would not budge.what could be causing this...naturally the AC wouldn't work cause i couldn't push the lever all the way to the cold zone.I also suspect a possible R135 leak.any ideas on how to fix it??the R134 i'll take care at a shop but what about that almost stuck climate control lever.I'm a new owner and really dont know my 'lude as I should. plz help!

It looks like the cold/hot lever is attached to a cable. Maybe take it all apart and take a look inside.

You can find a diagram in Chapter 21-22 pg36

The manual is in the resource sticky at the top of the 5th gen page.
