SH Spoiler Brake Light or Base Model Rear Window Brake Light?

So I have a 2001 base and I was immediately irritated about the rattle the rear window brake light enclosure made, but that's not what this is about. What do you think looks better? The SH spoiler and a flat rear dash or no spoiler and stupid plastic rear brake light enclosure in the middle of it?

My personal opinion of rear spoilers on the 5g is that it's a Mugen or a SII Type S spoiler, or nothing. Mugen requires the window mounted light (with the exception of roughly 50% of the copies that are fitted with LED brake lights) and the Type S spoiler doesn't need the window one due to it's fitment of LED brake light.

To tell you the truth mate, I've never really thought about it that much.

The Type-S flushmount spoiler is the nicest, but it costs a friggin arm and a leg... The type SH spoiler is nice too though for much cheaper

I'm still trying to find an SH deck to get rid of the hole in my back where I took the 3rd brake light out. Way cleaner.

I was thinking of removing my 3rd brake light as well. The tint on my windows is dark enough you can see in the back, even when its sunny.

and if I had the money I would get the type s spoiler for sure.

I'm getting the Type S spoiler... eventually. Until then, I'm staying naked.

Early Type S spoiler

Later Type S spoiler (this is the one I like)

And for comparison's sake, the Mugen spoiler that I will fit eventually

The one that he has labeled as the "later type s spoiler" is the same as the USDM Type SH/OEM spoiler.

When us Americans think of Type S spoiler, we think of the ones in the first two pics, the flush mounted one. The later type s spoiler is what we have on the type SH's/optional OEM spoiler. And the one in the fourth pic is the Mugen one, that looks almost Identical to the first two without the tail light, and it hangs out a little farther off the back...

Also, I think the later type S spoiler is a little bit higher off the body than the Type SH/USDM one is... not much, but a little.

WRONG! The later Type S spoiler is not the same as was fitted to the USDM anything.

This is Jesse's car, with the USDM OEM spoiler.

(Interestingly enough, it's the same as the OEM spoiler fitted all around the world)

And from another angle.

Notice how it is not the same as this one.

This spoiler (to the best of my knowledge) was only ever fitted to the Series II Type S, and the AUDM Series II VTiR ATTS. I've been told that they were fitted to SII cars fitted with ATTS in almost all RHD markets, but can't confirm reports.

Yeah it's different... but not by much =\. I like the series 1 type s spoiler better, but hey, to each his own.
