Possible 1997 Type SH Purchase Questions

I have never owned a Honda and I have always liked the third and fifth generation Preludes. With that in mind, I test drove a one owner 1997 type SH yesterday. It is black on black and is still owned by the original owner. It has 166,000 miles. It has never been wrecked, has all body panel Honda VIN stickers, but the ATTS light has illuminated some in the past year. It did not illuminate on my short highway test drive. The car's ONLY modification is a high performance muffler. Everything else is original down to the type SH wheels and original radio.

The owner told me he had the timing belt replaced at 100,000 miles and switched to 10W-30 oil at that time. Before that he used 5W-30 weight.

He told me he would sell the car for $3000 but no lower.

I just posted some photos of the car in the photo and media section of this forum. Take a look at them.

Any thoughts?

check for car damage, rust, engine wear, check under the boot lining for welding / repair work and around the engine bay, if its clean then it should be good buy. preludes are solid cars so i wouldnt worry too much about the mileage.

is it auto or manual

I have checked for body damage and there is none; I also ran a Carfax and it was clear and clean. The car is a 5 speed manual transmission.

R8GYY, Do you have anything like a Carfax service in the UK?
