I have a 99 type sh with an AEM intake and DC headers. im looking for a cat back exhaust that is N! slant style. There are a few cheap cat back systems on ebay buit iv hurd that they dont fit. I like the look of apexis and greddys but a catback is $500 and im not going to spend that much. Any opinions??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-N...spagenameZWDVW

or how much would it be to get a pipe bent from the headers to the muffler and ill just buy an apexi or greddy muffler??

I don't really have any suggestions but i did what you're saying "how much would it be to get a pipe bent from the headers to the muffler and ill just buy an apexi or greddy muffler" and ended up spending more money in the long run.

dont buy an exhaust too cheap...you will regret it when it sounds like $hit, and how cheaply it may be made....ive heard a lot about the apexi ws2, and the tanabe smh...both are under 95 dbs, which is a plus if the popo are known to harass import cars with aftermarket exhaust in your area...imo, you got a good intake, and header...finish it the right way with a good high flow cat. and cat back system...

^^agree^^ that's what i did. Got the DC headers, magnaflow cat, K&N filter on a CAI, and full stainless steel cat back. Sounds alot better, runs great and no check engine light (for now).

apt_lude will become famous soon enoughapt_lude will become famous soon enough
it's going to be hard to find a good cat back for under 400, I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for

Yeah, I wanted to get ones like that too, but I couldn't find a bolt on one for 5th gens. I think in order to get that you'll have to settle for some cheap galvanize piping, and a tip which might be louder than you want. Those won't last long and are quick to rust (speaking from experience).
