Outer tie-rod ends

Anybody know if there is any difference between the outer tie rods on the base model vs the type SH?

I have a type SH, and after finishing a clutch job, we are realizing now that I need new outer tie rods... Well, I found on rock auto, they have some closeout ones for about 20 dollars each (regular price 46.79), but they are only listed under 1997 Prelude Base...

However, when comparing the parts available for Prelude SH and regular Base ludes... all of the other outer tie rods offered are interchangable between the two... For instance... AC Delco Part #45A0836 and #45A0837 are listed under both the "Base Prelude" and "Prelude Type SH"... but the closeout ones I want are only listed under base....

Any help here guys?

Almost 100% positive they are 2 different parts for the Base and SH

Inner is the same but outer is different

Thanks Steph! That was quick too =)

Yeah it's weird... I went to Beck/Arnley's catalog, and they have two different parts, one for Type SH, and one for Base.... But the kicker is, the one that they have listed for "base", is definitely what is on my car now lol.

well it seems that if the part numbers are the same for the a.c delco ones then they should be the same. i work at a parts store and have to compare stuff like that all the time cuz ppl dont know what they have (makes me wonder sometimes) but it works out as long as the part # are the same..

Yeah the AC Delco ones are the same, but the Beck/Arnley ones have two different part numbers.... the image that they have for their base part number definitely resembles what is currently on my car more closely.... strange huh.
