Icon5 Engine Oil Flush Bad Idea??

I sometimes have my engine flushed when changing my oil but a few days ago a guy at a local shop insisted that i dont wanna do that because its bad for my vtec engine. Is this true????

I used to work at Penzoil, and it shouldn't be bad for you car, although i have heard that if you do it too often it is. Once i had a customer get the flush done and after their car was acting all wierd. So it's your choice. It's more so recomended when you haven't changed your oil for awhile and there is caking inside, it basically takes it off...

Ok cool, ill make sure not to do it very often then.
this guy claimed it can strip the coating and damage a rod.

not really damage a rod, but it does kinda strip the coating... hence why it removes the caking in your engine. hehe

just be careful if there is a alot of gunk in there then it could clog up your oil pump screen

well my very first oil change in my lude i had to get it done says jiffy lube...but if i heard corectly in a forum before lots of us lude drivers tend on having to put like 2 quarts in b4 an oil change do to the car. but i really dont kno i planned on getin my oil changed every 2500 miles but lots of things came up with money so we'll see
