99 lewd is on a distinguished road
what should I do.

Alright I got a daily driver 99 honda prelude. I would love to make a sleep style car to where it looks like a slow ass ricer but have a turbo on it or something but here is my predicament.

This prelude is my daily driver its got 117k on it. I realize I would want to rebuild the engine for best results but if it were you guys would you just keep your reliable honda dd the way it is or purchase this sweet ass 02 trans am WS6 for sale and put money into that and just get good gas mileage in the prelude. I want the prelude to be fast because you dont see an fast jap cars where Im from I would love to make it happen. Please tell me your input.

Also if I kept the prelude please list your opinion on what forced induction set up I should go with. I want to be reliable about 300 hp if I stick with the prelude.

Thanks

if you wanna go fast, get the WS6, its as easy as that. those are low 13 second cars, STOCK. cams, i/h/e, and slicks... mid 12's.

i just passed a used car dealer that had a black WS6 out front and i nearly broke my neck and got into an accident for staring at her in all of her glorious LS-ness.

personally what i'm gonna do when i gradumatate college in a year is to keep the turbolude, which i was still getting 24-25mpg on, and to get a brand new '09 Camaro, so i'll have the best of both worlds

first neck wear u get that mine lude icon at

seconded u want to have a back up car b/c it can brak and it wold suck to have ur car down for a few week to months. i would keep the lude like it is maybe a few thing and then get a another car to build up maybe a nother lude if you so want. that way u can take a lil more time and do it right and if it goes u still got a nice car to cover for a lil bit and if u can get the 02 trans am WS6 then i would get it

screw the ws6, do what i do bro, i gamble on online casinos partically this casino , landofmakebelievepenisland.com that is PEN island..not what you think, pervs. Well after a good 50k + in winnings, i bought myself an audi r8, the nissan gtr, and a jeep srt-8...so i get the best of all worlds, edm, jdm, and usdm.

Ahhh jk, if you got the extra dough to support both cars, go with it, but if you know you might run into tight spots in the future, wait it off and slowly hook up the lude, remember 2 cars = more money, then the temptation to spend more money on parts for not just one car..but 2, then any bills you pay for also!

idk the 02 ws6 is a 6 speed with only 36k on it... The only thing I dont like about it is the price...I have 10k saved up and they want 16,500 for it...I was just thinking with that 10K i could do stuff to the lude just enough to make it quick then keep some leftover...IDK its black with chrome rims, totally stock just waiting for me to snatch it up lol

What are turbo ludes capable of if you keep them reliable as well

There's only one answer to that question, and it's another question.

How deep are your pockets? Because that is what it will take.

my uncle has a ws6 and they're beautiful and semi rare. If you want a heavy muscle car that is semi under powered, go for it.

if you want something different that not many people have, build your lude.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I remember that NSX guy, that was great!!

Well if your going for the sleeper effect in a land of american muscle then stick with and soup up the import you already have. I know its much easier to derive HP from an LS engine with twice the cylinders but it with either gain you respect from having a fast 4 cyl. or you will get a chuckle out of making rednecks pissed. Its harder to achieve the same effect but Ive had both displacement and technology and really its more fun to have a car that will hang with dinosaurs and get 4-5 times the gas mileage. AAAND if you have 2cars you will spend money on 2 cars. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, have the debt to prove it!!!!

Yeh, the V8 will still drink the juice, even when you don't drive it fast, but even a built Prelude will return miserly fuel consumption when you drive it conservatively.

just really do ur homework on this one... i had a 12k loan and picked the first car i saw at the dealership...(THANK GOD IT WAS A LUDE) but no one is ever satisfied with what they have so i would get the ws6 and keep that the way it is then do work to the lude and make ur goal to beat or to get with that ws6... but then again i have no idea

I'm sorry...maybe I'm a little biased...I'll choose a lude over just about any american car...the only us car I would consider buying is a corvette, and it would have to be brand new...i'd need to grow a mullet in order drive a trans am

i agree guys, the lude is a little less common, and really if you have 10k, you can do a prelude FI build the RIGHT way, jacket the cylinders everything, you could really build a beast, but your money goes fast, look for the best price on the best parts. if you go for the only car and you decide to sell the lude for the WS6 then that means you need 6 grand out of the lude, few sell for even that much sometimes.

up to you just my 2cents
