Transmission Problems for 5th Gen

I've my car since May 2007, almost 10 months.. and now the car starts jerking and slipping in and out of gear. Yeah its an Automatic :(.... I got the problem checked and need to replace the transmission! It has 135K on it, I also considered to rebuild the transmission which is cheaper I heard...

Although I really wanted to do the Manual Swap.. but that is way out of my range...

Does anyone one on here have experience with rebuilt transmission... or knows any place where they have a tranny for sale, that you might suggest...

thanks in advance.

I think you should see if you can find a used one in good condition... It'll probably cost less than the rebuild and it'll definitely cost less than a new one...

See if you can find a junkyard nearby you that has a totaled 5th gen... you can also check ebay... I've seen a few H22 automatic trannies on there from time to time...

Read my post "Honda Tech Needed" or mesage me on aim, metafex .. my car started doing the same thing 3 months after I got it... a YEAR later its still not fixed, 2 transmission, and a rebuild later.... 3 new selonides a new TCU and ECU later still slips out of gear.... Ill run you through all the steps I have taken

Check TCU, Check ohms and voltage at selonides check for ground outs
Check selonides for clicking, even if they click they might be bad
Test pressure on transmission near selonides, if the pressure is not what it should be its your valve body stuck open.... good luck... SS's blow donkey

Check to see if you car might have recals dude, take it to a mechanic and see if theres recalls on your car.... you might be able to have a free check or fix due to recalls....

I've having issue's with my tranny too, first and second gear grind when going in but after that the car drives amazing...

I would suggest if you must do a removal, see how much you can get a jap used tranny for, they're supposed to come used for around 30k miles and cost around 700 for the SH type( in cali, LA) and ALOT cheaper for base models....
