Emissions test: FAILED???

I just bought a 2001 with 47k on it and the damn thing failed the emissions test (Atlanta...). The guy at the Jiffy Lube said that there was no distinct code it was giving out and that it might be a "link" problem (I personally have no idea what he was talking about). I took it back to the dealer and they hooked it up to a computer...again, no useful code was being put out. He said it might be a problem with the readiness function and that I should drive it around for a few weeks. After that, it should be fine. The problem is that I have had it for over a month and have done plenty of driving. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

alot of people fail emmissions testing because they dont let their car run to closed loop,

how long did you drive the car before you took it to testing?
in my prelude i can go anywhere up to 10 minuets before its in closed loop and ready to go, closed loop is when the emmissions systems start working and when the car is warm, if you can recall, was your temp guage up at all?

you should drive the car WARM into testing

Sometimes, codes are stored in the memory, they dont have to trip a CEL code either.

Have you reset the car previously?
Something, or some part is, "not ready." This means it could be things like an o2 sensor, catalytic converter, most likely emissions related. The SCAN tool needs those to be "ready" to preform tests, like for state emissions...
If you did reset the car, the ECU needs about 300 miles of driving or more.
OBD II is sick like that lol
