removing interior parts

I have painted some interior parts already in my car and I am recently trying to remove the arm rest plastic covers. I removed the screw and I tried pulling the cover off but Im afraid if i pull an harder that I will snap the piece. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

yo coach,
if your talking about the thing on the door that has the window switches etc then you have to take off the door panel and unscrew it from the back.

Oh ok...if your talking bout thomas said...then remove the panel and i believe there are 3 screws...and then...when you begin to pull the piece pull back and up there is a tab near the front of that piece...
