Where the hell is the TCM located?

I've heard its under the driver's side and I've heard its under the passenger's side. Can anyone who knows please tell me exactly where it is located and maybe if you feel like how to get to it. Thank you in advance!

I just picked up my new TCM as computer diags said the TCM was defective. I dont wanna start tearing up my car looking for it so any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK i looked in one of the manuals this site has in the resources section and found it is under the glove box on the passenger's side. What is the best way to get to it without breaking anything?

almost positive its right next to the ECU, which is on the passenger floorboard, under an aluminum kick panel.

Yeah i looked in the manual on the resources, I found it and replaced it with my new one. SAME ****ING PROBLEM!! My tranny will not shift right. Computer diags said my TCM was defective.

The problem is this: if i am going about 40 mph the engine will be going ~4000rpms. if you give it more gas it will just high rev.

I doubt it, but anything is possible I guess. The TCM i just bought was new.

Also it is an Automatic transmission.

Oh guys/gals Where is the back up fuse located? a diagram or pic would be very helpful. I am gonna try and reset the TCM memory by disconnecting the back up fuse for 10 seconds.

OK, I took the back up fuse (7.5) out for over 10 seconds then replaced it. I had to enter my radio code in and everything. Tranny was still giving me problems. I guess I am going to have to take it in to a professional mechanic. god damn! On the plus side, i've had this car since 03 its an 01 and this is the first problem i've ever had.
