Passenger Side Back Seat Wet

The passenger side back seat is wet from the bottom up (so whoever sits down there gets a wet mark on their butt). I took out the seat and there was a small pool of water underneath. I'm letting everything dry out for now, but where is the water coming from so I don't have this problem again?

Thanks!

I had the exact same problem, except both sides were wet. Right now my car doesnt even have the backseats in haha. But if you look, you can see that most of the water is towards the back of the seat. I believe it is coming from the trunk, splashing through the little openings on the car between the trunk and back seats, where the little hump is. Do you have water in your trunk near the spare tire too?

your taillight seals are busted. Look in your spare area and there will be water down there too, when you hit the brakes the water splashes forward and the padding in your rear seat absorbs it.

Looks like there's a lot of leakage from the trunk (meaning the tail light seals are busted?).

How do I go about fixing the tail light seals? Pictures would be great. I'm 16, this is my first car, and I don't really know my way around it.

Thanks!

Re: Passenger Side Back Seat Wet

I have a 99 prelude but my dad had a the 3rd gen prelude like 10 years ago and he had the exact same problem. His trunk would somehow fill with water. Mine has no problem... at least not that I know of.
