Icon5 Parts

Hey was looking through threads to find this stuff but couldn't find anything of what i was wanting..but i am looking for a parts that will allow me to keep my car as a daily, heard that using stage one parts are the way to go to prevent problems. So if anyone knows any quality parts for anything from clutch kits to suspensions. by the way it is a base model. also if anyone has any quick mods that can be done at home, I would like to hear them so i can get some ideas to make my car unique.

There a lot of threads on here about parts, you just have to look a little harder and know what parts you are wanting. figure out what parts you want then look those up. Think about what you want your end result to be, do you want all motor or forced induction, which can both be qualified as daily drivers.

We have alot of cool, easy DIY mods in the DIY thread. http://www.preludezone.com/diy-do-yourself/

You can start with a few of those.. One cool mod, in my opinion, for the 5th gens, is the silver gauge bezel mod, thats in there, check it out.

As for, your stage one question. Yes people use stage one parts on thier Daily drivers, because 1. Anything above isnt neccesary, and 2. The higher stage you go, the less you are going to want to drive it and wear on it every day after all the money you dump into it lol

some good suspension is, KYB shocks, Tien suspension.. those are some exspensive ones.

if you want to do a clutch and flywheel, fidanza makes an awesome setup. Dont get to crazy with clutch stages either because your keeping it a Daily driver, it just becomes harder to drive the higher you go..

Good luck, i hope i helped a little

Hey man,
well in the way of a unique (non performance) look have you considered Fog Lights? I personally think my JDM fogs are the best cosmetic upgrade ive done. If you follow the write up the install is VERY easy to do at home.
wish i knew a little more about engine or transmission upgrades :( i cant suggest there.
For suspension just stick to name brands and there shouldnt be any harm as a result unless you slam your car to the ground of course. Easy to do at home suspension stuff is just body roll stiffener bars like sway, strut, or link bars.
you just looking for ideas or you got a budget??

mainly looking for ideas budget at this time is bouncing.. but thinking about doing a forced induction, heard that it is better, not sure if truth behind that. But said as a end result I would like to finish with a turbo being the last part added, and heard that I would it better to invest into a forced induction..because of less stress on engine, but i kinda feel as if it is a opinionated view from a guy that i work with. But looking to get as much power as i can to have a little fun with.

Think about what you wanna do mate. Do you wanna drive the car every day but track it on weekends? Or do you wanna drive the car into the city every day then through the cruise districts at night?

Also have you thought about budget? You can make good power relativly cheaply with a forced induction build, but will have to spend a lot more to get the same numbers from a N/A build.

Have a search around the forums mate, we've got a few members who have built big power N/A cars, and a few who have got big power F/I cars.
