I was reconnecting one of my battery terminal connectors, and it snapped! Also it had some corrosion on it so should I replace the wires when I get the new one? What size connector do I need, or are they universal? Any info will help, thanx!

Guys I know I promised not to bump my own post, but I gotta fix it tonight, so I can go to work in the morning! I apoligize if I sound pushy, I don't mean to, but I gotta fix it. Thanx for understanding guys!

go to advance auto or autozone, get a unversal one and slap it on there. its really easy, should take about 10 minutes. if the wire damaged/corroded too badly, go to a circuit city or best buy and get a few feet of 4 gauge power cable (car audio dept.) and replace as needed.

battery terminals and cables are pretty much universal.

Good, cause I really didnt feel like special ordering one or sumthing haha. But as far as corrosion, is that just a problem with the cables/connectors? Or is that a problem with the battery itself?

So its all external? Thanks alot man, seriously awesome!

Alright guys I need some serious help. I went out and got a cable with the connector attatched, but I realized the fricken thing thats already on there has two cables attatched to the negative connector, one for ground, and I assume the other one for power, am I right? Anyways, has anyone ever done this before, because I seriously need some help, I dont know where the other end connects to. Any one know? And will I need to put it up on jacks to get to it?

the only thing that should be connected to the negative terminal should be grounds. absolutely NO power wires should be running there!
got any pictures?

i would say just follow the other cable and see where it leads to.

after looking at the pic of this dudes engine bay
Joja Boi's Lude

i membered the one cable coming off the neg terminal goes to ground (you can see it bolting onto the rad support) and the other grounds to the starter.

where there any terminal connectors @ the store that had 2 cables comin off it?
