Most recommended upgrades for a prelude

Hey i'm looking at a 1998 honda prelude sh. If i do buy it i will have about 4k left to buy some stuff for it. What do you guys recommend me buying for my lude with the limited 4k i've got. I would mainly like to make it look cool, however i also want to ad some hp so i can still compete with the other cars like it around town.

Honestly if ya do any amount of night driving, get HID retro's.

You will be very happy with the purchase as it is one of the single best mods I have.

You wanting to go faster, look better, or what? Be more specific.

you got the SH so if you care bout the bends more than straights id say upgrade your suspension
EDIT**
wow you got a 4k limit!!!
if i were you id get ...
-Rota rims and performance Kumho tires (both good for the money!...bout 1k with mounting)
-Koni Yellow shocks and GroundControl coilovers (800+ without install)
-front and rear sway bars (500+ without install)
-exhaust 500+/-
-The rest to tuning and/or installs/jdm fogs or a good $1k pair of headers

lol thats what i would do!!

Well there's not a whole lot you can do to an SH and maintain ATTS so bolt-ons, VAFC2, and suspension is really all that can be done without additional work.

It's all about what you want to do with the car. Are you gonna track it ever? Are you going to race? Get a plan of attack, then it's much easier.

Well said dubbs. You wouldn't head to the other side of the country on a vacation without deciding what you were going to do first would you? So why begin a car build without a plan, it makes just as much sense.

Different applications require different attacks, ie if you plan on racing the car you'd be better off with a track style suspension setup rather than a simple lowering spring job if you were just planning on cruising the car, etc.
