Icon9 Need Help Badly!!!!!

Hi everyone, I just came across this 97 Prelude with the following problems, I seriously need some suggestions whether to buy the car or not...

1997 Honda Prelude Base (non SH), Red, Auto Tiptronic, 184,000kms, A/C, PS, PW, PL, PM, PSunroof, Heated Seats, Black Tint, Euro Tail Lights, Minor rust around trunk keyhold and bottom of trunklid.

Previous Owner spent $2500 on a full tranny rebuild in August 2007. (have reciept)

The car does not run, the crank pulley is stripped and the belts are off. Easy fix if you know what your doing. I dont have the money or time to play around with this.

Take it away... $3400 obo

what do u guys think???

hmm, thats actually a pretty good deal.
if you know how to take off the crank pulley (with the correct tool ) you could have a running prelude for about $3500, with a completely rebuilt tranny which are known to be extremely problematic.

well if you dont have the time or money for it, i wouldn't buy it, because it'll probably be costly and time consuming. just my opinion.

well, EXCLUDING teh price of getting the car towed to the mechanic, he could prolly get the crank pulley and belts for a lil more than 100, plus about 3 hours of labor @ $50-70/hr, about $300.

but the risky thing about buying a car that doesn't run is you dont know that thats the ONLY thing wrong with the car. know what i mean?
so if you feel pretty safe that its only the crank pulley, go for it.
