Ecu Help

Hey whats up everyone so im badly in need for a ecu my car idles at stop lights and thats gettin anoyying so im gettin some money so im going to invest in a ecu,heres the problem should i invest in the hondata s300 or the aem standalone ecu? i want something that i can use so when i somewhere down the line i get my turbo i can tune it? i was kinda going more for the hondata cuz its alot cheaper then the aem standalone i dont want to dummp all that money for that what do you guys think am i makin a good decision.?

I would hope it idles at a stop light. If it idled on the highway it might be a problem. I assume you mean it doesn't idle the way you'd like? I know mine idles to low and it's really annoying.

You'll be able to tune your turbo with both, you get what you pay for and the AEM engine management is a lot more flexible.

sorry i didnt clear that upp but what i mean idle its that ill stop at light and my car revs up to like 2800 and drops its so annoying i dont know what it is i know i need to switch my ecu so hopefully that fixes that

Have you checked your vacuum hoses?

sorta like it's rev'ing on its own? bad hoses, leak... those are a couple of the more common causes, and cheap and easy to fix.

yea its revs on it own i start it and it revs up n down.i dont mean to sound dumb but were are the vacum hoses at?

yeah, that's not a problem with your ecu. that's either a vacuum problem or the idle air control valve. I've seen it plenty of times. Check all of the vacuum hoses on the intake manifold and be sure to follow them from there to wherever they connect.

allright yea ill check that out first thing tomorrow then cuz its so annoyyin ill be at light and my cars reving on its own people look at me and wonder wtf is that person doing.
