I know 4th gens are 55mm. (15x6.5JJ) where as the 5th gen is (16x6.5J)
I would say 55mm. but not 100% sure.

I saw on another website +42. I was wondering because I found a pair of 17x7 advan model 5 wheels in bronze( my color)and they are only going for $600. offset is +35 though. Dang! They will rub too much!

I'm sorry, but this annoys me. Especially when it's stickied at the top of a page.

Recommended Tire size & Offsets!

Quote:
Offset

4th & 5th Gen. Stock = 6.5" Wide Wheel w/ +55mm
3rd Generation Stock = 5.5" Wide Wheel w/ +45mm

6.5" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Less than +38mm ::: You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well.
+38mm to +55mm ::: You shouldn't have any problems. Recommended Offsets for 6.5" Wide Wheels.
Larger than +55mm ::: You take the chance of rubbing the inside lining of the wheel well.

7" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Less than +38mm ::: Not Recommended
+38mm to +41mm ::: Not Recommended if you are, or plan to be, lowered. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well.
+42mm to +44mm ::: This is a grey area if you are lowered, results vary depending on tire and/or drop. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well.
+45mm to +50mm ::: You shouldn't have any problems. Recommended Offsets for 7" Wide Wheels.
Larger than +51mm ::: Not Recommend. You take the chance of rubbing the inside lining of the wheel well.

7.5" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Less than +40mm ::: Not Recommended
+40mm to +43mm ::: Not Recommended if you are, or plan to be, lowered. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well. Wouldn't recommend using any tire with an overall diameter larger than stock and/or with a tire width larger than 215.
+44mm to +47mm ::: This is a grey area if you are lowered, results vary depending on tire and/or drop. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well. Wouldn't recommend using a tire with an overall diameter more than slightly larger than stock, you chances of rubbing increase.
+48mm to +52mm ::: You shouldn't have any problems. Recommended Offsets for 7.5" Wide Wheels.
Larger than +53mm ::: Not Recommend. You take the chance of rubbing the inside lining of the wheel well.

8" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Not recommended without enlarging or rolling outside lip of wheel wells. Some people have had success with running offsets larger than +48mm, but you are taking an expense risk.
You won't get more accurate info than that, it's been changed and modified over the years that people have been putitng aftermarket wheels on Preludes.

sorry, but some of us don't have the time to sit on here for hours looking for things. I needed it right then. Can I get wheel spacers to make them fit. They should make a column of very useful things like wheel bolt patterns/offsets/sizes and engine displacements right on the main page.

worst excuse i've ever heard. the whole POINT of the FAQ's and resource guides is to provide information in a much more expedited and organized fashion than creating new threads asking the same questions that have already been covered.
it also takes much less time to do a simple search for "wheel offset" than to create an entire new thread.

/end rant/

Look for some other wheels, 17 x 7 +45 or +48 is perfect. The advans won't work.

Like I said, it's stickied at the top of the Stance forum, no excuse for not seeing it.

AFAIK wheel spacers are illegal unless they're actually welded to the hub. Which isn't worth it IMO.

well, i can't find a good set otherwise. I looked at a company called dymag, but, I really don't want to have to go with 18s. worse gas mileage. Plus I am not stupid and put chrome rims on a prelude(very ugly). so spacers, are not recommended? Sorry, but just too busy, don't think to look in certain places for info. forgot about the search. I found the model 5 in a +50 offset, will that work? I just don't have the money to spend on those wheels($500/each rim). Then there is the possibility of just getting a different car. I have had four hondas, and am getting tired of all the probs that I have.

Who says? Ogs Volks (which are 18s if you cbf looking, which I believe a likely situation) weigh less than the stock blades, which aren't exactly heavy to begin with. If gas milage worries you buy a fking hybrid for fk's sake. I'm so sick of people buying sports cars then complaining that they use too much fuel.

Easy fixed, either save money for them for a little bit longer, or forget about it and do something else.

I just talked to my brother who works for town fair tire(NE US shops), and he can get them for me for cheap, but I have to wait until I start working at the honda plant, pay off my car, and get an apartment. What kind of gas mileage do you get? I have gotten at best 300 miles to one tank.
