Fast turn signals

i always see cars with fast turn signals...is that an easy thing to do? I also heard..it just does that when the bulb is about to go...

alot of the time if your turn signals blink fast it means you have a loose or crossed wire and the bulbs are getting to much wattage and its not a good thing at least thats what ive been told.i dont know how to do it on purpose though.

Take a bulb out. That'll do the truck.

bulbs flash fast when one of the bulbs are blow...i.e if your rear driver side indicator lens is blown when u indicate right your front blinker will flash like theres no tommorow and vice versa..best way to check is to pull over and put your hazard lights on..that way u will be able to see which ones not working

Yep its true, something about the relay and how it distributes the power to the blinkers, when one bulb goes out it makes the good bulb flash faster. Like if your left signal indicator in your dash is flashing faster its either your front or rear left turn signal that is burned out. I think I remember my 3rd Gen I think even had a indicator that lets you know which bulb is out.

put an LED blinker in the front OR rear and that will do it. the LED draws less voltage so the "relay" thinks a bulb is out. i've had mine for years. i put a red one in. but you can only put LED's in the FRONT or the REAR NOT both otherwise it will not blink. these can be picked up at any auto parts store. DONT buy and contraptions from ebay or any other site selling "fast" blinkers its garbage. just get an LED bulb.

Yes, LED blinkers do it. Basically, it uses less energy so the car doesn't even think there's a bulb in there unless you get a resistor. I had just the LED's in mine for about 3 days but it was annoying so I just put them as my reverse lights.

Since blue and red facing any other way than rearward is reserved exclusively for emergency services you're just asking for trouble. Just ask Jesse, he's been in trouble for blue LEDs.

green should be legal if you can have any colors other then amber.amber is usually the only legal color in the us.depending where you live you can get away with green, blue, purple, etc but you just have to check.

green is volunteer EMS in many states, purple is funeral directors, blue is usually volunteer firefighters, and red is usually fire apparatus, ambulances and chiefs of service. so chances are if you have any of those collors flashing on your car it's illegal with out a permit.

BTW. i don't think any state specifies a difference between forward facing and rear facing when it comes to flashing lights. is just that most cops won't bother you for rears.

Green is legal in most places.
Blue and red are illegal but some places don't enforce it as much. I used to have red on the front when I first got my 4th gen and never got bothered for it but I do live in redneck south Georgia where half of the cops don't know the laws anyway.
