Icon5 How Much Would You Pay For Leather?

im buying original black leather seats front and rear all in mint condition for my 2000.

I have to drive a ways to pick them up and not sure if theyll fit in my car so im taking out my rear and passenger seat before i leave to insure i have room.

whats a reasonably price for these, and also, could i sell my mint condition cloth seats for anything?

You haven't agreed on a price before driving all that way? I dunno, since you're not doing trade + cash...I would say $500-600 for mint leather seats. That might sound like a lowball offer but look how old the seats already are and the fact that there's probably a low demand for them, being the car is out of production. BTW, where in 919 are you located?

well we have decided on a price and i think its a great deal and hes happy too. For some reason i just thought the demand would be higher, being that its rare to see a prelude with leather. I just wanted to get unbiased opinions first.

Im in raleigh everyday, but travel frequently to charlotte and wilmington.

You might want to think about getting your stockers reupholstered in leather and compare the prices. That's the route I'm going. It might end up being slightly more but in a matter of speaking, I'll have brand new seats.

Well since you have the 99-01 interior, I'm sure someone will want it and upgrade from the less characteristic 97-98 interior.

yea, and let me get 1 more thing straight, the OEM leather has the small panels across going down the back and butt where as the type S leather is one solid piece in the middle and butt, correct?

also i wanted to get PRELUDE stitched in, would that be easier(less expensive) on the headrest or the actual back towards the top?

It would look better with a Honda H stitched in the headrest.

Type S interior.

I don't know what all those extra buttons are for but I want them. I also spy a rare JDM navigation system.

Here's the rare red SiR interior.

^I'm not positive about the design patterns. Let me know when you get your seats. We should meet up sometime, have some beers, do a photoshoot.

At the risk of sounding like a newb, what is the difference? This is the first time I've ever heard of a difference.

I thought the JDM climate control on 5th gens with NAVI have the climate controls next to the vent where the clock is supposed to be. The radio is beneath the NAVI since its separate. Why would a climate control have a cd or tape deck? lol.

You are correct Sir. If you look closely, you can make out the temp. adjustment next to the display and the mode buttons below.

Well after 2 weeks of waiting i finally got to pick up the new leather seats. Final price paid after pointing out an area that needed to be re-stiched: $300

great buy. I'm getting leather soon. I might make a diy on recovering stock seats. although I'm way too short tempered. hahaha

haha no way man, ive waited since i was 15 and got my first car and been through 4 cars to get leather, i wouldnt give it up for the world. im about to have the headrests stiched out too.

I think thats a huge aspect that sets my prelude apart and keeps it OEM. I looked and worked to hard to find and get these to just resell.

having leather and getting in with that leather smell it great. Since ive installed them the other day, ive been sitting and basking in it for a minute or 2 before i start my car and drive. I know, most of you are like geeze what a fag but its huge for me.
