3 months, down to business

alright, my TB/intake thing is so ditry, inside and out,
how hard is it to take off
and what kind of money am i looking at here,
im guessing i might need a new gasket,
i know i need those EGR ports, anything else i would need to clena this baby up? and im talking

CLEAAAAN!

i say three months, because thats rougly how much time i have before i start driving it, why not do this now, ill update this post so you dont have to crazily search around.

i know i can probably look in the manual for how to take it off, someone wanna point the lazy kid thata way?

hahahah

NEEDED;
Torque Spec on the bolts that hold it to the head
Gasket
EGR ports, and how to do that EGR port thing, if theres only a PP DIY or something then i can do this and do a DIY once im done
Any other idea's for the TB while its out.

EDIT:
i figure for the miles, i want to replace it anyways, heres the gasket;

what do you want to buy? a new gasket? somewhere around $3-4. Its not too hard to take off. Just take off the air intake, disconnect the tps, disconnect throttle cables and hoses(carefully), unbolt the bolts, give a slight tap, and it should slide off; a little coolant will run out of the hoses so be prepared to clean it

edit: i just clicked on the link and realized you want to take the whole intake manifold off...^that is for the TB, but the whole manifold i would imagine you undo the bolts, hoses, and plugs if any, give it a slight tap and it should come off lol

Here is a link with everything about the EGR port stuff. Has the part numbers and how to do it.

I posted this on the other site along with Kenny(fastkill). If someone wants to cut and paste the important parts to this site go ahead. I have no problem with it and I assume Kenny will not either.

thanks mike,
that will be a big help!

i was thinking just using some TB cleaner on the whole thing, after removing zapable exspensive sensors and such, is this a good idea or are there better ones?
