Weekend of Quick Fixes

Took care of a few things this weekend. For anyone wondering who that idiot in the DIY tutorial was that cracked his gauge shield, it was me. So i picked one up from honda and replaced that, while repainting the trim gunmetal instead of that horrid blue.
BEFORE:

AFTER:

I also replaced that little bulb thats in your change holder, so now i can see how much change i have left!!!

I had a horrible time doing that though as you have to remove the entire center console piece and the bulb is tiny and way under the console, just not a good place to get in there. Plus the wires are really short so you have limited space to work with.

END RESULT:

I also wanted to debadge but didnt want to pay for bondo and repaint to cover those holes so i went for a different look with another emblem. I tried 2 different emblems.

STAR:

FAMOUS:

And lastly my best mod so far, passport 9500i, the i standing for i love it!

Ill be spending my morning at honda tomorow getting new seatbelts as well, the retraction on mine suck!

That radar detector is sweet. We have a Canadian gentleman who has purchased a couple of them and said the GPS feature works great. Make sure you get it low enough to get a good signal to the sky all the time. Enjoy and make sure it catches the signal before it catches you. ;)

thanks for the feedback guys, yea i had the famous emblem up for a minute and the beauty is that alot of people dont know what it is so its not exactly a hot item for someone to snatch.

And yes i was getting freaking pissed at this tiny bulb, im a big guy and that sucked ass trying to get it in a tiny hole that was far away and in a very tight space. But for some reason i just want to fix up all the little things.

And the radar detector is awesome too, i still have my cobra up to see all the signals the passports filtering out. One problem i have run into is that when i pass these doors at the mall in the parking deck, it goes off, but i cant lock it out due to no GPS signal. But other than that.

oh that sucks. Is a relly nice unit tho. Carefull with the other radar detector tho. Sometimes they emit a small signal that will false the other detector. Just something to keep in mind.
