Aftermarket Seats for 98 prelude's

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys knew where I could shop for a carpet, front and rear seats and also the floor matts for a 98 honda prelude SH.

My tan ones are getting pretty worn out and I was hoping I could either have them refoamed and buy the seat covers new (and keep it the same color) or change the carpet and the seats to black ones...

Factory tan D.

It depends on what you want mate. Do you wanna retrim the existing seats, or do you want/need race seats? DC2R Recaros go almost straight in, as do seats from the WRX.

The easiest/cheapest way would be to find a reputable trim shop in your area I think.

Or there's the previously mentioned option of WRX seats

(As far as I know) three out of four do. The fourth one can be filed out to fit. But don't take my word as gospel.

Hmm,

Well my car has tan clothe seats. The bottom is pretty worn and the tan looks kinda dirty. I don't mind reapolstering them if that is possible to do. Any idea how much that would cost?

As far as putting wrx seats in my prelude =\ I dunno about that one- i'd rather spend the money and get me some recaro's or sparco's- even though i don't want to pay anything crazy lol...

I drive alot, far too and need seats that will be extremely comfortable and won't hurt my back- my current seat is hurting my back because the foam is so worn out....

Any idea on a carpet swap? my car has tan, i want to put in black

There is a mod I've seen that will lower the stock seats up to almost an inch. I'll see if I can find it.

There's a huge difference in cost between the WRX seats and a set of Recaros. One second hand DC2R Recaro sells over here at about $1k (new Sparcos slightly more), yet both WRX seats come with change for that price.

Are the seat setups the same in 4th Gens and 5th Gens? 4th Gener might want to get in on that WRX seat idea.
