well a straight pipe and a catback are 2 different things. a straight pipe (or a test pipe) replaces your catalytic converter, and a catback is the entire exhaust system from the cat all the way to the muffler.

for a turbo'd car, you'll get the most power with a straight pipe and an exhaust with the least restrictions as possible, like bends, resonators, and mufflers. but i'm not sure if the same is true with all motor, it might not be enough back pressure.

Well, I personally recommend a catback...Mainly because, have you ever seen or heard those kids with their civics and teggies with straight exhaust...and most of the time, they're making no real power...they sound like absolute rubbish.

for your sake...and for your future childrens' sake...get a catback. Haha.

PS. (Unless of course you're going WAAAAA PSHT WAAAAAAHHHH PSHT...then a straight exhaust is a big thumbs up)

ha ha ha yeah, boost it then get the straight pipe. I would say most the guys on the strip may put those straight pipes on even without turbo and then yes you don't have enough back pressure car sounds like crap and a stock Civic will beat it. Go CAT back.
