Fuel light

Someone remove this post after I've received an asnwer... its pretty pointless but here it goes, on the 5th gens how many km's can I get out of it after the fuel light has come on? Didn't have a chance to fill up before work and don't have a gas station very close either :)

I lived in Germany for 3 years while in the service and drove a BMW 528i. I think 2 gallons is somewhere close to 5 liters or so. I'm not too sure what the conversion is. I would say get to a filling station as soon as possible. (ASAP)

that sounds like the worst analogy ever. i would NOT go driving around thinking i had that many miles of gas left when i get that low.

You have about 10 liters that should do for 100 km.

The fuel light comes on at about 15 litres left. Don't go by the fuel gague, they're a law unto themselves. I had mine under the E this morning, then filled up only to find 10.5 litres still in the tank.

Hehe - guys! I am back online - was this site down a while ago? When I wanted to post a day after this question I couldn't get on to this site.

Anyway, thought i'd confirm that you have 10l approx. When the light comes on. To be safe I normally never let it this low (dirt deposits in tank). I did make a filling station ;) So I was happy :P

Guys, may as well use this thread more constructively, I run a free magazine here in South Africa, are any of you interested in a small feature? Any vehicle you have as long as it is Japanese. I know I asked Brash22 a while back :)

Cheers all.
