supercharge...?

Sooo...i saved up to get the turbonetics kit...buuuut, by the time i got it all together, they discontinued it. Damn. So now im stuck with a lot of money and no power. I also dont want to do anything like chrome and go to obd1..blah, blah...because i dont want to lose my atts.

What do you guys think? I like the idea of the jackson supercharger, but there goes my type-s mani and the future type-s pistons and cams. I know with a good tune though i wouldnt have to worry about blowing up the motor.

But going all motor, would use all that money with little gains, and probably wouldnt be enough to finish just one N/A project...

so im stuck..Any ideas

did you call turbokits.com or turbonetics?

and i'm not sure about this, i'll wait for a 5gen'r to confirm it, but i think your still gonna loose ATTS once you you start pushing some serious power, despite staying OBD2 or not. i dont think it matters too much either super vs turbo.

ya, once you hit about 250 whp you lose it, the supercharger wouldnt put me there, but i think the turbo would be cuttin it close, and ya, i called both companies..

well the jr supercharger and the turbo kit you were getting make about the same whp....so i would say the supercharger would be a good way to go, and you can always tune with aem afterwards for more power....

I am also considering a JR SC.

BUT...........

The way *I* drive, I'm kinda affraid my ATTS will **** the bed as well...........and I really like having SOME kind of an LSD in the car (even one that sucks in really low speed stuff).

Not to mention, how safe IS the basic Jackson Racing tuning? Because I'm the guy that would go out and do those 0-150mph pulls...........and since I already made my vavletrain cranky doing a 0-140mph pull.......... ;)

And oddly enough, the older they are, the faster they are.........when they aren't broke that is

From what i know its pretty good stuff. I mean other thann the fact the h22's r crappy for any kind of boost anyway. Im sure jackson dynotuned everything and got a really good tune for there software.

i have the jackson racing engine managment that came with the kit. some people say its s****Y but i drive my car hard all the time and its lasted a while. how many miles does your car have on it? i put the s/c on at about 45k and it now has 65k with no probs.
