Spring/Shock Install HELP ASAP!

I probably should've searched for this, but I need an answer ASAP.

I was wondering...when installing new shocks and springs, would one need torches to help loosen up the cars suspension parts?

Thanks for any help guys.

I question the method of using a torch to loosen nuts and bolts? How the **** would that work?

Just use that WD40 stuff you were talking about on PA, and the spring compressor. ANd if there's anybody whose done it before in the area, give them a call and see if they can give you a hand, those sorts of people are always useful.

haha, no you dont need a torch. unless you just wanna cut the coils in half and take them out that way. thats badass.

get your hands on som PB-blaster and SOAKKKKKKK every bolt the day before doing the suspension work. and also a quick squirt before you begin working on it

No.. You dont need it.. ( Wow.. a torch... Thats some hardcore ****. lol. )
At the worst.. you can use a heat gun. It makes the metal hot enough for tuff ass bolts.

Yea its the Nanjemoy way of doing things. Fire. HAha, you should've seen my brother torching the balls out of his Jeep YJ7's suspension when he put in new shocks and leaf springs. It was so hardcore chit.

i mean the only reason you should ever NEED a torch for suspension parts is if you absolutely can't get the bolt/nut out for the life of you, and you've tried everything in the book. torching it will heat it up, and expand the metal so it finally comes loose. but thats never really necessary.

as long as you have some muscle on your bones, and a cheater bar, you're golden.

Well, I mean, the only thing I'm REALLY worried about is twisting the tops of the bolts off. (which is what happened when I installed my rear sway bar)

wow...if thats a 01, and your having a hard time getting the bolts off, then you have a problem...mine is a 01 and it was "easy peezy"..gay, i know

just get yourself a big ol piece of metal tubing, stick it on the end of the wrench and torque it off
