Burnt valve cause?
I had low compression in cylinder 4 and when I pulled the head off I noticed that one of the exhaust valves had burnt on the edge. Just curious as to what would cause this to happen. I did clean the EGR system and new port plugs about a week or so prior to the valve going bad. Also I noticed some hard scale build up on the valve stems,is that normal?
