Re: 1999 Nordic Mist Base model factory 5...should I keep her?
Keep the car man. I have my 2001 Type-SH basically almost back together again. I've come to the realization that other than it leaking oil, it's a great car. Unfortunately for me
my Prelude is my only car, so having down time really sucks, I'd rather be driving it than working on it, any day. It really didn't need work done to it, I was just paranoid. If your car runs just fine, no reason to get rid of it. If you're not using it, just store it. You never know if this car will be more valuable in the future.

Re: 1999 Nordic Mist Base model factory 5...should I keep her?
After reading your post I really thought about how rare a 99-01 5thgen Base model with a factory 5speed and leather is presently. Especially one that hasn't been totally molded out. I only have a catback and CAI, everything else done was either PM's, or repairs. So yesterday I had to charge up battery and I replaced the alternator with a brand new Denso unit. She started up immediately and ran perfectly for 20 minutes and started randomly misfiring. I'm going to say gas issue due to how out dated the fuel is at this point. I did use fuel stabilizer but the fuel was already months old b4 I added the stabilizer. Im filling a 2 gallon can with 93 octane and bringing some octane booster. It felt good to sit back in the driverd seat and I forgot how low to the ground she is.

Re: 1999 Nordic Mist Base model factory 5...should I keep her?
So I got her home and she runs but when she reaches operating temperature she misses at idle. Once you hit the throttle no more miss and no more CEL. I did pull 4 EGR port plugs to clean runners out b4 storing her for a year. She has a brand new EGR Valve and the EGR valve port is also cleaned out. Only other issues could be the AEM air intake, unfortunately I don't have the original air box and tube to the throttle body. This is what happens when you let your car sit for a year.
