Engine REV after swap manual transmission
Dear all.
Andi from Indonesia. I recently swap from auto to manual transmission. Car Honda Prelude, BB8, H22, JDM version. When in auto, engine can be rev up to 8K RPM using tiptronic mode. Now engine rev cut below 7K after swap manual transmission. What need to be done/tweak to make 8K rev again. |

Stock ECU (AT transmission). |

Fine. But just asking, why engine is able rev until 8K when in auto with tiptronic mode and AT ECU? |

Thanks. Is it possible to fool/tweak AT ECU to be in tiptronic mode full time? There is some kind of mechanism, when transmission in tiptronic mode, ECU raises engine rev to 8K. Maybe someone knows how to mimic this mechanism even auto transmission has been removed. |

There is a modification that can be done to the AT ECU by removing 2resistors and adding a jumper. https://youtu.be/j5hlu16uU9c

Found this somewhere.
Auto to manual P5M ECU check engine light: - Find resistor RP13 - Remove resistor - Solder resistor at RP14 Has anybody tried these steps? Does it eliminate REV limiter? Or it just turns off CEL? |

Will get rid of the idle issue, should get rid of the check engine light.
Move RP13 to RP14
