Coolant leak around above flex pipe

The leak is a little to the passenger side above the flex-exhaust-pipe. It's pretty bad. Completely drained the radiator in about 250 miles.

It seems to not leak after startup even if the engine is warm like if after the car is completely warmed up then I shut and leave the car off for about 40 minutes and restart the car, then no leak, but let it run a bit and leak starts.

What could this leak be? Oil cooler coolant hose or something else? Which coolant hose only gets coolant circulation after engine (or oil) is warmed up?

Heater hoses, look it up. Is your prelude RHD or LHD?
Most common cause is oil leaks wearing out the rubber.
Only way to fix is replace hoses with OEM, and fix leaks.

+1 for the heater hoses where they go from the engine block into the firewall -- they're not readily visible, so no one ever checks them until they leak. Bring your supply of cuss words, because they're also not easy to get to.

Might as well change out the rest of the hoses while you're at it...if one's leaking, others will follow soon.

Re: Coolant leak around above flex pipe

The pinch style hose clamps that come on these cars are "1 use" type where when you squeeze them to open them up to remove sometimes they don't snug back down proper.

You can get away with reusing them. Even 3 or 4 times, but eventually they will not reclamp like they need to.

So if it is a hose, be sure to purchase new clamps.
