Looks like a piece that would attach to the frame or cross-member somewhere by the steering rack. Had a quick look at mine but couldn't find anything like it.

No it was a possible suggestion to a guy who started one thread about placing his coolant lines back on backwards and another where he reassembled the suspension and had a giant very important looking part left over. Trying to help actually. Good luck.

It's a subframe brace that goes beneath the...well subframe. On US spec left hand drive cars, it is mounted on the right side and sandwiches the steering rack between that and the subframe. Seeing as you're from Australia - I can't assume it would be identical without seeing a parts diagram from your region. |
