Icon5 whats next?

well i can't decide on what should i put next on my lude.i already got aem v2, megan headers, cat exhaust and high flow cat. i was thinking putting on some lightweight pullys and camgears. what do yall have in mind? keep in mind that my lude is daily drive car and i have a automatic tranny. i was thinking about a 5speed swap but its too much for me right now. i don't want to spend over $600.

How about NGK wires and plugs? That will give marginal power gains, but efficiency is usually better than output. I would personally recommend suspension goodies...Prelude aren't rockets.

P.S. 4bangers have a HEADER...not headerS. silly kids.

Any big engine mod you do, you're gonna need tuning.

reverse what you just said...and you're golden.

ALL engine work THEEEEEEN tune.

to make it easier for yourself in the long run, if you do the cams, do springs, retainers, and cam gears at the same time...unless of course you want to crack open the engine open more than once.

One more thing...are you planning on going FI later? Or NA?

exactly what he said... but dont run the motor hard right after the mod until you tune it.

Well...you dont HAVE to...but you got the engine open and it couldn't hurt upgrading everything while you're operating on her. Get me?

And if you had been paying close attention....HAHA Jk dawg...you wouldve noticed that theyre still in the boxes in my room. they havent been installed yet, so I couldnt tell ya. Gimme a few weeks and I'll let you know.

FI = Forced Induction and NA = Naturally Aspirated

NA is EXPENSIVE...ask Ogsmakdade and Blake (98vtec), they'll vouch for it.

Besides....even with boost, you'd still have to spend a small fortune to make these cars really fast...and if you want a REALLY fast car...in my opinion, you bought the wrong car, understand?

in all honesty, it doesnt exactly take alot of money to do what i have done. If you look hard enough you can find good used parts for cheap. If you have a "mechanics hand" then you can put everything together by yourself. Completely different story if you are buying everything brand new and paying to have the machine work done. THAT is expensive.

not counting the swap, i have around 3000 dollars in modifications and the car will do mid 13's. Pretty impressive to me, but not impressive enough :p the other engine is a different story, but still got a hell of a deal on damn near half the setup. Just gotta know what to look for. :)

and the thing pictured is a grounding system.

like 98 said, if u know where to look....my 5th gen was puttin 195 to the ground witout tunning...not that is a lot ...at least compare to 98, but for some reason, there arent too many all motor ludes breakin 170...

and like 98 said...its a GROUNDING system...that buddy club version comes with a condensor...aftermarket grounding isnt n e thing new, but is rarely thought of....thicker grouding wires helps your car gains a few HP thru some good tunning..but the buddy club comes with a condensor...so not only is the grounding wire's thickness amplify your current, the condensor helps with that job some more.

its an awesome upgrade, rarely done, and when u pop your hood, it looks awesome, if u dont have an amazin header, and you are goin NA, its nice to have pple gawk over your motor from noticing this, and not bein some riced out ****...

hks makes one as well...ebay has cheap 20 dollar ones that are still good to use, but not like the buddy club, the ones on ebay are circle earths, the replace the post on your negative battery terminal and all the wires go to that...google it...before i write an essay on this....jeesh..

Oh...I was wondering why it was only like a buck 40. When you say it doesn't do much...does it help at all?

prolly make the engine rev smoother, idle smoother....etc

if power gains were as easy as adding a few wires to the chassis, people wouldnt spend 1000's of dollars on custom parts, lol.

I have one.
Sun America Hyper voltage system.
I got it for cheap from a friend parting out his Altima.

To be honest, brand new they are expensive & a lot of people are skeptical. It doesnt add any hp to the car as the website claims but it does help out a vehicles electricity flow, like for old cars as mine.

What I noticed last year when i first put the box on:
Brighter lights(interior) and slightly faster power windows, higher dial on head unit volume...now of course, this could've been the placebo effect but i also asked a friend who has one and he told me the same thing(s).

This product is more or less for engine bay blingage.
