Here's the link to the car
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/6042020095.html

I am getting rid of my old faithful 2005 Honda Acford in favor of something faster and namely more tuneable (k24a4 is about as bad as it gets for that). I know plenty about Hondas engines, especially the H22. What I don't know about is preludes, nothing about them at all. I really REALLY like manuals, especially to stay in the V-Tec power bands, BUT driving in Houston traffic would be nice with an automatic. Can anyone please give me some advice on this car? What to look for, what to ask? Is the automatic almost as fast as the manual? Common issues. Thanks in advance guys!!!

if you go with automatic prelude have a tow truck number handy and put aside money for when the tranny fails.

My old SH would put bus lengths on my friends old auto when we would try and race a little. 05/06 RSX-S or TSX in 6 speed are pretty decent and k24a2 is "better" then a k24a4.

Do some research on the automatic transmission on the 5th generation prelude. If you don't know anything else about these cars know that the auto for this car is pretty awful. to be specific it isn't a matter of if, but when it will fail.

Also if you want something to tune and modify with ease then definitely don't go with an SH. A base model 5 speed would probably be OK, but the aftermarket is much larger for cars like the RSX or Integra.

Avoid automatics.
