LOUD grinding front right wheel area

i will try to keep this short and sweet. Did suspension overhaul and put the brakes and rotors back on and turned the car on while on jack stands to see if brakes were all good. Put the car down and right on startup a terrible grinding noise happened. turned the car off immediately and jacked the car back up and started it again. no grinding thru all gears (noise happens in neutral as well). lowered the passenger side slowly and wheel hit the ground no noise. did the same to the driver side and when the wheel pretty much touched the ground the noise started and the more i lowered it the louder it got. My guess is its got to be something to do with the axle that happened during over haul (barely touched the thing) any input is appreiated

EDIT: been a long ass day and i cant tell right from left i guess. This is happening on the LEFT side wheel

Re: LOUD grinding front right wheel area

What do you consider a suspension overhaul? What parts did you touch during all of this?

Re: LOUD grinding front right wheel area

might not be a suspension overhaul to some but new upper control arms ball joints, full energy suspension bushing kit , swat bar end links, tie rods. never took the axle out or anything like that

Re: LOUD grinding front right wheel area

and the grinding starts as soon as the driver's side wheel touches the ground with the engine running? without giving it any gas? AT or MT? SH or base?

Re: LOUD grinding front right wheel area

Push the axle back in, if you haven't already destroyed the splines on the end. When working on major suspension components it's not at all uncommon for an axel to become unseated
