If your talking about the JDM Prelude intake then its similar to yours if im not mistaken, it will yield more power then yours can provide, but it wont change the sounds all that much, im almost certain that the JDM will be much like your stock arm now, only better!

On the other hand the AEM V2 will yield very small gains, maybe 5HP with other bolt-ons.

All in alll,
I would go with the JDM if you can, it also depends on what your trying to do with the car, if your trying to make a flat out sexy piece of shiznit then go for the JDM

because more power that appears to be stock, in my opinion, is MUCH cooler then ricing out your engine!

JDM Intake Arm Has My Vote!
Hope I was able to help!

JDM Type S Prelude Intake

yeah go with the aem v2 man...ive never heard anything about the jdm intake either, i do see people with jdm engines replace the intake with either aem v2, or a regular aem cai...never seen one that kept the regular jdm intake...i have a v2 and its great, like thomas97 said, you may gained about 5whp with a full exhaust...i got the v2, with header, hi-flow and cat-back, and gained about 10Whp...

I know that the JDM one can be done right, ill try to find it again, but a guy did a full out prelude w lots of Mugen andJDM parts, in my opinoin, the JDM made that car, if he had slapped a AEM v2 like everyother prelude owner because of its "gains" then he would haberuined the image!

not trying to annoy any or/ make anyone mad!
just saying the JDM seems alittle more original!

Here it is!
nice and clean!

yeah i agree...the jdm is an original part that does have good gains...but to me it would be for more of a sleeper type lude thats not tryin to show all the aftermarket parts, and still gain power...i wouldnt do it though...jus my opinion

I was going to start a new post, so sorry I thought this to be the best place to ask since it is on topic.

My CAI came on the car when I bought it. How can you tell what it is that you have? I don't see any lazer etching on it or stickers. I haven't yet pulled the filter out, I am this week to replace it probably needs it anyways.

All I know is the stock air box is removed and this huge piping runs from my intake down under the passenger side headlight. I'm guessing it is the V2 like alot of you are talking about in this thread. Sorry for intruding on the post.

The V2 is a short ram intake, not a CAI, and if your intake goes into the bumper, its a CAI. With the lack of any markings its probably just an ebay intake, like a lot of the people on here have, including myself.
