meganracing

i just recived my megan catback, header and and high flow catalist converter. the qusetion is when i opened the box with the headers, it had the 2 pc headers and with the 3 pc gasket with only 3 bolts. but it did not had the 9 bolts that you connect the headers into the engine. so is this how they send it to u or i have to call them to send me the bolts. if that didn't work can i just use the old bolts from the old header. or buy new bolts for it.

the 3 bolts are used to connect the 2 pieces of the header. other than that you use all the old nuts and bolts (header to engine, and downpipe to cat)

is it going to be too loud if i add the high flow catalist converter cause it says use it only off road or racing.

hmmmm, idk what the megan catbacks sound like. does the muffler look like its a straight thru design, or is it more oval-shaped and look like its a chambered muffler?

YES IT WILL BE LOUD!!! i dont have the megan racing cat-back, but i do have a v2 intake, header, hi-flow cat, and tsudo exhaust. which is loud enough to be consistently harrased by the cops....this opens up your exhaust and creates the power, but noise comes with it to in this particular setup...

yea but tsudo's are known to be OBNOXIOUSLY loud. if he has a chambered muffler catback on there (like my WS2), the high flow cat will make it more raspy sounding instead of ridic loud like your tsudo.

make sure u tighten the 3 bolts from ur headers to ur down pipe because on mine some how (well it could of been because my headers lay lower then my car so every time i hit some thing it hits the heaters fist sometimes) they fell off and mess up that gasket and know getting another one for 15bucks which is taking for ever to get here and I live like 30 miles away from there warehouse and still calling them to hurry up.

The high flow cat shouldn't affect noise very much, as opposed to a regular cat. Test pipe would though, one of many reasons as to why I don't like them.

double check your honda gasket as well, and use a torque wrench to tighten evenly.

Lol!
I had the same thing happen to me but I just twisted the down pipe from the header and it eventually came loose. I had cut off the cat and everything and took it the next day (open header) to get custom exhaust. That sh!t was obnoxiously LOUD.

I would say just buy new bolts, something heat treated like Grade 8 Cadnium or 316 Stainless Steel. Having the bolt powder coated would also help the rust but it's sort of overkill in my opinion.

it u puttin an aftermarket exhaust on the car, it makes no sense to worry bout how loud is the high flow cat will make it sound.....

the exhaust itself will be wats causin the noise because of teh resonators or lack of...

u put a high flow cat on a stock exhaust and its sounds pretty much stock.

well i got it in with some help from a friend.i did try it my self but i cracked one of the sockets and striped the bolt on header but i took it to one of my friend house and he had air to open the bolts in the headers. i did put on the high flow catalist converter to see how loud would it be and it sounds not that bad. i thought its going to be loud but its not.well it is alittle loud from the first gear but when it gets to the other gears it gets that deep tone which i like.
