need some opinions on which cat-back to get. got my 2nd ticket in 2 months for the sound of my exhaust...lol, ahhh, the great state of VA...lookin for low dbs, but still with a good exhaust tone, and with significant power gains. i have a tsudo cat-back now, so for paying the price for either of these, im expecting them to be better than what i have....WS2 OR SMH???

WS2 = no tickets, not much exhaust note.

i LOVE the sound of my WS2. pretty quiet, but sounds VERY aggresive when i get on it. (when i dont have any exhaust leaks, which is never )
i would like it to be a tad bit louder tho, but w/e.

i have an apex'i MEGAPHONE Dunk...its a pretty big muffler...it sounds great thought...no rasp..very aggressive though....nice low deep tone to it...but if you want a quiet exhaust, ws2 is the way to go IMO.

yeah ive been thinkin about getting the ws2 for that reason prelude13. just for 411 guys, last night on my way to work got pulled over again for the same reason, the cop said the law states i cant have an aftermarket exhaust, which it doesnt. i memorized the law, and told him he was wrong and that i already have a ticket for the same reason with a pending court date. well, he got mad and gave me another one anyway. what the hell???? so keep the opinions coming cuz looks like ill be changin it sooner than later!!!

oh yeah, smh= super medallion hyper. its tanabes exhaust line up that is under 95dbs. dont really know what the ws2 db is though....

WS2 period. I have it i love it, it is really quiet and has a nice tone. It lets you hear the engine rather than the exhaust.

well thanks guys...looks to me that the WS2 is gonna be the one to get...no bad reports about it...anybody know the whp and tq gains????

yeah, apexi makes the ws2...as far as a sound bite, try you tube...but i havent seen one with a lude ...

since the 2 of you were able to register and post on this site, i'm gonna go ahead and assume that you guys aren't blind.

deffinitly go with the smh sounds really good not to ricey and adds good hp. The wsII sticks out to far on the 5th gen and is not as loud asi thought it would be

yeah, towokexlv6coupe guy, your video shows your car driving by the camera, you hear the wind blowing more than the exhaust tone, thats why some people have been asking you to do a video with the exhaust closer to the camera...and greddylude98 i dont want a exhasut that too loud, i know that smh in under 95db, but the ws2 is at 87 i heard and is better according to the people on this thread....

ya i mean if your looking for low tone then wsII but the only reason i dont like it is it just sticks out to far

ws2 is a good exhaust apex'i makes excellent quality parts, i'm runnin the n1 i love the exhaust sound but it is pretty loud, good thing they dont enforce the sound ordinance very hard here. but back on topic. do you know what time the sound ordinance goes into effect bc it doesnt start until 1030pm here. and i know a couple of people who have gotten outta tickets bc of that.

yeah 1BadBB6, where i am the cops pull people over for having an aftermarket exhaust, mainly the "import" cars... "but doesnt state in the law that it has to be oem or cant be an aftermarket"...but in the law it does say it cant have all the excessive noise...so thats why im changin my to the ws2 now...

i know what you mean about the cops focusing on the import cars its the same way here. you see alot of old man muscle car groups hangin out in parkin lots and never get kicked out but we are at a different place almost every night

yeah, some dont have a clue what the law says, and when you tell them like i did, that is says nothing about having a aftermarket exhaust is illegal etc....(the actual law) they get mad and still give you a ticket even though you have a pending court date....mines tomorrow,

well, i lost in court, and have to change my exhaust now...so i hope that the ws2 is good enough...i listened to sound clips of the stock exhaust and "compared it to the ws2, theirs really no difference between the two"...the ws2 is just a lil deeper...anybody agree or disagree??? and anybody know the db level of the stock and ws2???
