Chooko is on a distinguished road
New to forum. Navigation question.

Gentlemen,

I Honestly never thought I would find myself in a Honda forum as I am a dyed in the wool domestic driver. I have never owned a car that was not a Pontiac, and have never had the desire to. However, I have recently begun a three year tour at MCAS Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. When in Rome.... So I just bought a '97 Prelude. The car is an automatic (for the wife) right hand drive with about 45000 miles on it. Seems pretty nice, although I won't actually pick the car up from the dealership until Monday or Tuesday. Here is my question. The car has an in-dash TV/navigation unit. I'd like to be able to use the navigation feature, but it is all in Japanese. Is there any way to convert this to English? I have heard rumor that I might be able to get English software CD's for it. Is this true, and if so, where would I get them? I don't want any of you to worry, I'm not going to come on this forum and talk trash about Hondas/Imports. I just want to make this car as comfortable and nice as possible. And maybe we can all learn a little from each other. If anyone has any ideas on getting my prelude to speak English, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

Joe

It might have also been an option is the uk so you might want to check on do of the uk prelude forums. Thats what I would do.
