Icon5 EuroR/USDM Injectors?

In the process of swapping the h22a7 euro r into my base prelude with my original base trans.

The biggest obstacle I have come across is figuring out the best injector option to run best.

I have the euro r injectors and rail
I have the h22a4 injectors and rail.
I have the rosko rail adapter plate.

I have not removed the euro r intake mani off. so the seal is unbroken. I do not know where to find a replacement euro r manifold gasket.

I know the a4 injectors wont run ideally on the euro r without removing some material around the ports, with the manifold off the head. The spray does not enter correctly, potentially causing hesitation and problems

I have thought about simply removing the mani and dremmel the ports for the a4 injectors and polish them up. and use the original a4 injectors with the rosko racing adapter plate.

I also am thinking about the euro injectors on the a4 rail with the rosko adapter plate, will this not cause a spray problem and will it run best?

I have the euro r fuel rail, ive read somebody simply extended the rubber fuel hose 6 to 8 inches to reach the euro rail inlet. this seems like a option.

More information about the swap is that ill be getting a p28 or p72 ecu and tune in the future.

I have the PCD ecu and my P5M ecu,
I do not have annual inspections in my state.
I will run the P5M over the PCD in the meantime.

Im looking for answers and solutions so i can finally sleep at night
Thanks in advance for your time and effort to help me out.

Re: EuroR/USDM Injectors?

Order a Rosko intake manifold gasket, and while you're at it - ask him what he suggests as far as your injector/rail goes. Rosko is always willing to help, don't be afraid to ask.

Re: EuroR/USDM Injectors?

Hey wing8806, thanks for the input.
I've talked with rosko but he never replied to my questions I think he was to busy and over looked it. I'll try emailing him again.

I've been on his store and only found throttle body gaskets and I could get a usdm gasket but its not a direct replacment. am I overlooking it?

Believe me I'm not afraid to ask anything, I've gone a long time before I have had to and I'm stumped here.

Re: EuroR/USDM Injectors?

Why not run the entire h22a4 intake? I had similar problems when doing my h23a swap, not only were the rails and injectors different, but the sensors on the intake plenum did not match, some plugs were different or in different places, and I reused my usdm harness, by reusing the original intake it made the whole process a plug and play affair. Unless of coarse you have the h22a7 harness. But the down side to this is of coarse the euro r tb is larger, 5mm I believe, and also the plenum, which instead of having the pgm-fi badge, it will only have three round casting marks, by my understanding flows better. I do not think it will be a noticeable loss though

Re: EuroR/USDM Injectors?

hey, just want to update the thread. Spoke to Rosko through email,
Ive decided the best route is to use the usdm injectors for now since ill be using the p5m ecu. after removing the in. manifold and dremmel/polish the injector ports open some. I should have a good spray and the oem gasket should fit.
