timing belt water pump ect

I'm doing a timing belt water pump change. What else should I change while I'm in there? Seals? Ect ect. Also what about the tensioner should I do manual conversion or stay with the hydraulic one?

Re: timing belt water pump ect

(2) cam gear seals
balance shaft seals (front and rear)
balance shaft seal retainer (if your car does not have one) 99-01 typically do
front main seal
water pump
balance belt tensioner (if worn/noisy)
balance belt and timing belt (i recommend gates racing timing belts)

make sure you have a crank pulley tool and breaker bars - or an impact

If you feel like doing the h23 manual tensioner, go for it. Or you can just purchase a new auto tensioner from HONDA - don't go aftermarket on any of these parts.

Take your time and best of luck!

Go OEM, HONDA.

These parts are too important to use aftermarket products. Honda is more costly in the end, but it pays to do it right the first time.

Agree 100% on this, rather pay a little more now, and have peace of mind.
