I think I have a gas leak? Help

HEY! so i just got my car back from my girlfriends dad who was helping me fix a misfire and EGR problem and I notice a considerable amount of gas smell in the cab of my car.

I texted him and he said to look for a leak and then get back to him.

It only really stinks when i'm idling and I haven't noticed any fuel in the engine bay or underneath the car.

i've read that i should follow the lines from the back of the car to the front and make sure there is no leak there but i'm pretty much a noob and would like if anyone has pictures to where i should look for the leak.

My lude is lowered, but I do have some ramps if I have to look underneath.

ANY help is appreciated.

Edit: Seems to be coming from the fuel injector on the first cylinder, probably just the o ring? It's spraying out gas

Re: I think I have a gas leak? Help

Well thanks to no one here but i'll post my fix so others can google and get results.

I had gas leaking out of an injector, just spewing. And could smell gas inside my cab (mostly just when I was idling).

1. I removed my gas cap (to depressurize so gas wouldn't go everywhere, not sure if this was needed but everyone online said it so i did it)
2. I needed to remove the fuel line, a few things were in the way, so I disconnected the negative terminal of the battery undid a few of the electrical outlits and unbolted a few things to get to the fuel line bolts ( theres 3 10mm bolts on the fuel line, 1 was directly blocked)
3. Once i got that out I took out the injector that was leaking, and one of the rubber o-rings was ripped all the way through on one side.
Went to Lordco and had to buy a kit with all the little rubber seals even though I just needed one. ($23 canadian)
4. Once replaced I put everything back the way I took it out, turned the car on and that injector was fixed!

Protip: Be gentle putting the injector backinto the fuel rail because I ripped one of the other seals on a different injector and had to redo the whole process for a different injector.

goodluck!

Dang bro. You post a biography long rant and because a few hours later nobody had told you how to fix something you stated you knew was wrong you gotta respond by stating "well thanks to no one here" nonsense?

What do you think there's a buncha outta work telemarketers sitting around to answer enquiries from people? Seriously!

I'm sure a few read your post, thought about it, began doing a bit of research, perhaps pondered what diagrams and what not to check, but maybe got distracted by life, then return later to offer assistance and see "since nobody here" all huffy like...

I gotta be honest, after seeing that, I stopped reading.

Re: I think I have a gas leak? Help

The 2 times i've posted in this forum I have been met with people being rude, also I didn't mean to make it sound rude or ungrateful as you can see if you did read farther i posted my solution so someone like me who was just googling could find it.

wasn't trying to be rude, but this forum doesn't seem like a friendly place, I get that these forums aren't that active but I didn't even get a 'good luck dude'

And my other post was about an engine swap because I hadn't found any helpful threads or videos and a mod locked it saying 'lol this gets posted everyday' but he didn't give me a link to a thread or anything...

Edit: and nowhere was i ranting..

Search is your friend. Both subjects have been covered several times. If you can't help yourself without getting butthurt, maybe this isn't the place for you. If you can't search properly maybe you need to educate yourself on how to search forums. Pretty much any question you may have has been asked before and is in the forum some place.
