Re: question about 4th gen shifter into 5th gen

I've driven both 5th gen and 4th gen for many years and I havent found a noticeable difference that would make it worth it ...If you want shorter shift you can get either a block from ebay for like 15$-20$ or a better quality short shift.. but I dont see the point of swapping the two shift assemblies ..

edit: it probably sits lower because of the way the center console is designed in the 4th gens... compare the sticks with a measuring tape ..?
smoother shifting is all in the tranny and I really cant see why it would be beefier .. or why you would need beefier .. its not like your going to reef on it like a fool ;)

Re: question about 4th gen shifter into 5th gen

i hear ya man, ya i dont think im going to do it lol, i just wanted to switch the shifter a little ya know, lol, i have the short shift adapter, but honestly does nothing, maybe shortings 3 to 4th a little but about it, but what i am looking at how is the rsx shift pole, into the prelude box, the pole is taller, ive seen people do that, i might try that out, as i have a rsx box laying around, thought on that? waste of time? just trying to new things lol
