Interior lights

Hello there preludezone.
I can't figure out what's wrong with my interior lights.
Is there a fuse somewhere or the lights are burned?

Also does fog light, roof button should light up?

Re: Interior lights

they should light up

check your fuses first

then check the bulbs....

You seem to already know to check for these things, not sure why you're asking lol

Re: Interior lights

All Gen. Prelude Service Manuals
^^ chapter23...pages like 40-45 have your fuse locations and what each one powers.
Like Wings said, it's about time for bulbs to start going.

A few of mine are out. Didn't know a couple things had bulbs until see-ing them in the manual or Wings mentioning it here at pz.
But my headlights work and my dash lamps...plus I don't drive the car at night...or in the rain...or in the snow...or anytime the weather sux.

Re: Interior lights

Sorry for late reply in a dead-like thread but i've had enough free time to check the fuses since it was a sunny weather(which is rare where i live atm). So I searched up under dash fuses diagram and found what 10th fuse 15A protected. And basically 4-5 of the circuits are not working well. I picked a tester, checked the fuse and it was ok, found a spare one and replaced and still no luck? Is it really possible that all my sunroof button, foglights button, hazard button, a/c dash, license plate light bulbs are burned? Or its the wrong fuse?

Re: Interior lights

Do your tail lights work? Rear side markers? They too are part of circuit #10.
I mean are the things you listed the only things out? Also check fuse # lucky 13 as well as 43 and 46 under the hood...they are part of the multiplex circuit which controls a bunch of stuff and rumor has it does weird stuff sometimes.

It is possible the answer to your question about them all being out is yes. But not likely.

Once upon a time both of my headlight bulbs went at the same time. I searched and searched for a short...but later just chalked it up to being 'one of those things that happens sometimes'.

Re: Interior lights

My taillights are working, rear side markers also. Checked all fuses with tester under the hood and they were ok. Gonna buy new fuses nextday and will test it again because i don't have any spare now.

Re: Interior lights

Hmmm,

If you look at the list for circuit #10 those are listed. That tells me it's not the fuze.

Go buy a couple of bulbs while fuze shopping.

Re: Interior lights

I changed my right headlight bulb and left/right turn signals last week.
the lift turn signal was busted, and right one still works but I changed it anyway.

My friend helped me to take off my A/C panel and sunroof, foglights buttons. We saw some bulbs weren't working by testing them with 12v tester. It was pretty funny seeing only 3 bulbs powering the WHOLE A/C dashboard through a light filter and through organic glass. 1 A/C bulb was bad, sunroof back light bulb was bad, fog-lights back light was also burned out but the ON indicator orange bulb was OK. Moreover when I went to the Honda center they said these bulbs are rare and said that I have to wait about 2 weeks for bulbs to be delivered, other places said it would deliver them faster and said the same thing : they're rare af. Funny thing is it would be faster to purchase some leds and mount them in the places and it would be a lot better, brighter and it would future proof the lightning because leds life span is longer.

I'll keep the rare af thing in mind.

Glad you got it sorted out.

Oh and I've took some pics of the bulbs just in case anyone needs it.
Maybe it'll save some time for others for not needing to disassemble the buttons and A/C panel just to look at them.
Front:
The big one powers A/C lightning
The small white one is back light for sunroof and fog lights button
The small orange one is a ON/OFF fog lights indicator.
