Vinyl wrap?

Does anybody have any experience with self-adhesive vinyl wrap? Im thinking about putting some black wrap on my tail lights instead of spending $140 for new ones. Is there a certain brand or type anyone would recommend?

For 1997 2001 Honda Prelude Red Clear JDM Tail Lights Lamps | eBay

Unless you're set on blacked out, get these instead. Cheaper than oem, but look just as good.

Re: Vinyl wrap?

^^ not bad.
Try Prelude1897 to see if he has any used ones left....that is unless like emetz said...if you aint set on blacked out ones.

Or you could buy some VHT smoke paint if you are. And if you change your mind, paint stripper and a head light polish kit will get 'em all oem looking again.

Those are decent looking, I was thinking about getting some black wrap and covering just the clear plastic on the light to kind of carry on the Ebp/black theme the rest of the car has. Those look good though. decisions decisions..

Re: Vinyl wrap?

i personally think you can't beat the red/clear tail lights. if you're set on the black lights, though, go with bykfixer's suggestion of the paint instead of using the the wrap. If for any reason you mess up, or want to go back to the red/clear, you can always remove the paint, whereas the wrap would probably be a bigger pain in the ass, and leave a bunch of sticky residue on your lenses.
