Re: What kind of exhaust!?

im not sure, if you can get them in 3 inch, you can just buy the muffler and go to a exhaust shop, and have them bend you some pipe and put it on, i have this same exhaust, bolts up to the cat.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

Go to k-teller.com and get a better kit for a lot less. Then pick your muffler and be done.

Like tod said, a muffler shop can build you one as well.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

High flow usually means it lets your exhaust escape faster than the typical kind.

Unless you figure on adding a bunch of extra ponies to your engine someday, you don't need to spend the extra dough on one though.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

High flow mufflers are usually just a straight through design, with no baffles in between to slow and quiet the exhaust..

That Apexi kit comes with 60mm(or pretty much 2.36") exhaust, which is more than enough unless you are going to turbo or SC. Only comes with a muffler and piping up to cat. The WS2 put out a very nice tone.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

Do turbo first. You'll spend money twice or your prelude will not perfom with 3" exhaust.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

Preludes actually do benefit from 3" exhausts, but it must be all the way through, restrictions in any part is a nono for the VTEC. And gotta massage some ponies out with intake port an polish or a rosko racing euro-r intake manifold.

Preludes dont improve with cookie cutter parts.

Re: What kind of exhaust!?

Do
not
get
a
3"

Unless you are going for big power, its harder to control the sound. 2.5 is easier to control and good enough for most 300whp applications if I recall correctly

Do you think it's worth it to get a resonator with the k-teller piping?

Go check out Vibrants selection of resonators.

a good size bottle style just before the first bend in the exhaust will help deepen the sound

The longer the resonator, the deeper the sound, right?

18" is long enough. The inlet/outlet obviously to the size of your exhaust pipe - and the center diameter, well depends on how low you are. I'd have to check which size I used last on a 2.5" system, I want to say it was a 4" center...
