A/C backlight

Since it's getting darker It became really annoying not knowing what button is what. My all A/C lights isn't turning on. When I turn on my headlights everything lights up except the buttons. My cold/hot line and the strength of conditioner lights are working. Somehow one time everything lighted up for one time and now it's not working again so it's not the bulb problem. Can it be the fuse ?

Re: A/C backlight

It's the contacts of the PC board, where they plug in. Those are known for having cold solders

Re: A/C backlight

Ahh crap, I was thinking 4th gen... Take that console piece out and jiggle the connection gently. If they light up it's the connection at the back pigtail which is causing the problem. I've seen YouTube vids of them being repaired. Most likely not the bulbs or fuse, should all run off of 1 fuse I assume.

Re: A/C backlight

The soldering gun beckons... I have to do this at some point too, unless I go the JDM route. And that's 100 times more work.
