Immobilizer issues!?

Lately my immobilizer has been giving me problems. Sometimes when I go to start it I get the flashing green key light. It's been doing it too much lately and I would like to disable it. I found a replacement chip from doctronics but was hesitant to purchase it. Does anyone have any experience with this problem and/or website. Would appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Re: Immobilizer issues!?

Your best bet is a locksmith.

He can demobilize, or remobilize, and cut you new keys.

It could be a problem with the sensor in the steering column. I had the same problem with an Acura CL that had a bad connector that was intermittent. It only happened when you repositioned the steering column. It's a real pain.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'm going to go with reprogramming the key and see if that resolves the issue.
